What you will do
The Electrical Engineer will support the manufacturing of custom air handling equipment, with an emphasis on the electrical aspects of the product, by providing technical support and guidance. Responsibilities for the position include assisting engineers and manufacturing electricians with installation details, code adherence, testing plans, and troubleshooting systems.
The successful candidate will also provide technical support with new product implementation and continuous improvement of the legacy product. This position requires the candidate to be on site to be able to provide vital support.
How you will do it
Support product improvement and cost reduction activities
Assist in the generation of and creation of technical documentation for use within the company.
Develops test plans and assists with the preparation and execution of test programs to verify performance and reliability.
Analyzes, designs, modifies and/or troubleshoots electrical components and systems.
Check drawings for accuracy and correct if needed.
Create/ improve installation instructions and electrical training for manufacturing electricians.
Ensure the installations adhere to NEC and ETL requirements.
Perform engineering calculations for conductor sizing.
Create labor and router estimating and instructions.
Create electrical layout for components, conduit, wiring, and controls.
Establish standards and work with customers.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline; or related experience and/or training in packaged industrial electrical controls and wiring systems.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Preferred
Six plus years of experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
