Human Resources Generalist (Finance)

Description:

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HR Generalist serves as a consultant to employees and leaders on HR-related issues as well as assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The HR Generalist formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HR Generalist works closely with the Sr. HR Business Partners to collaborate on Employee Relations functions.

1. Assists the Sr. HRBP's with day-to-day employee relations functions including New Hire Orientation, Leadership Development Trainings and the HRBP Virtual library.

2. Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.

3. Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

4. Resolves complex employee relations issues for assigned divisions.

5. Coordinates the employee grievance process including scheduling, panel selections, and communication; serves as primary contact and HR representative during scheduled hearings.

6. Serves as the HR representative for all Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) hearing requests.

7. Participates in internal HR centers of excellence team meeting (Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition) for collaboration on client needs.

8. Collaborates with Sr. HR Business Partners to provide guidance and input on business unit restructuring and reduction in force requests.

9. Partners with Sr. Talent Development Specialist to identify training needs for business units and individual leader request for executive coaching needs.

10. Conducts mediations for assigned divisions, may partner with Sr. HR Business Partners as needed.

11. Performs other job-related duties as required.

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
