Sr Product Specialist, Turbomachinery - IA/TX - relo provided (Finance)

As Senior Product Specialist, Turbomachinery you will be supporting the commercial success of turbomachinery control software, a main product line for the business. You will be responsible for supporting existing turbomachinery control applications, like antisurge, performance, master, speed, extraction, fuel control for different types of equipment, like compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, expanders, generators. You will be tailoring the value proposition and commercial offering to different types of industrial processes and turbomachinery services, in which this equipment is operating. You will research and identify new markets, processes, and turbomachinery applications, and determine business case and product requirements for new product introductions (NPI). You will collaborate with technology teams and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products.

Location: Houston, TX or Des Moines, IA, Relocation Provided for the right candidate

Work Schedule: Hybrid 3/2 schedule - Must be able to be onsite fully for first 90 days

Ideal Candidate:

  • Knowledge of turbomachinery control market and applications in different industries: Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Industrial, etc.
  • Ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to support the strategy, vision and roadmap of the product line.
  • Experience performing voice of customer and voice of sales and developing business cases.
  • Experience managing NPI projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of product development and introduction processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop sales enablement packages and lead product launch and boost campaigns.
  • Proficiency with project management and product management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and customer needs for turbomachinery control in different verticals. Use insights to support definition of product strategies, new product requirements and make data-driven decisions.

NPI Ideation: Identify NPI opportunities, develop business case and product requirements to propose investments in modification of existing products or development of new products that will expand the market coverage.

NPI Project Support: Support new product introduction process. Coordinate with technology teams and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful development and launch of new products.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and integration of new products and lifecycle support of existing products. Facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that arise.

Product Pricing: Monitor product pricing performance and review pricing during recurrent update cycles.

Product Commercialization: Support commercial success of the product line. Work with marketing and sales teams to ensure that existing and new products are well positioned in the market and supported with appropriate training and materials. Tailor sales enablement packages to specific markets and applications, highlighting the relevant solutions and value propositions.

Strategic Planning Support: Support definition of product line roadmap that align with market needs and business goals. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and competitive analysis.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to new product introductions. Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback on products and new ideas. Utilize feedback to drive product improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.

Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential issues during the NPI phase and develop solutions to address them. Supporting strategies to prevent future issues and ensure a smooth product launch.

Travel up tp 20%

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
