Engineer - The Bankers Alley Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (Finance)

Do you thrive behind the scenes, where precision meets passion? The Canopy by Hilton at Bankers Alley - a boutique destination in the heart of Nashville's art and entertainment district - is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee the property's engineering and maintenance operations with efficiency, style, and Southern hospitality.

As Lead Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring our building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) run flawlessly while delivering a best-in-class guest experience. You'll lead a small team, partner with vendors, and proactively maintain our hotel's physical assets-all with a hands-on mindset and commitment to safety, sustainability, and service excellence.

Schedule will need to be flexible hours within the weekday and weekends based on the needs of the business.

The rate of pay starts at $26.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and performing to industry standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain documentation of repairs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure facilities are safe, efficient, and fully functional.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and focus.
  • Painting and carpentry skills a must
