This is accomplished by periodic, physical counts of inventory on hand at each of our retail locations. These counts are then compared with the systems (PDI Enterprises) inventory records with research, analysis and adjustments completed as necessary. These will be performed at all locations. Additional duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. According to the published schedule, complete physical counts and review of the inventories in assigned retail locations Review the results of the counts with the site level management and TM Record the results of these counts in the companys accounting system (Enterprise) Research any significant variances between actual counts and the system generated value Analyze purchases, sales and transfers to locate discrepancies in the data and potential misstatement. Analyze the inventory system to determine if adjustments, write-offs and promotional markups and markdowns are being calculated accurately Assess inventory management plan procedure compliance and work with management to reduce errors in inventory accuracy. Use professional judgment when evaluating inventory evidence and documentation. After reviewing the inventory analytics, use discretion when determining whether a recount or further research, documentation or explanation is needed. At the conclusion of each audit, prepare an analysis of audit results and research findings to management. Travel as required Regular daily travel, occasional over-night travel.
