Director of Benefits (Finance)

As the Director of Benefits here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the design and management of our global employee benefits programs. You will lead a team to support the development of a global benefits strategy and the execution of that strategy. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of our diverse workforce. Honeywell has a global footprint, and you will be responsible for evaluating benefits in a variety of countries and understanding the impact of benefits on a country-to-country basis. This will include applicable local laws, statutory requirements and the needs of our population.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the global benefits strategy
  • Oversee the design and management of employee benefit programs globally
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective financial management, communication and administration of benefits programs
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants
  • Provide guidance and support on benefits-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits
  • Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the performance and cost-effectiveness of benefits programs
  • Support the development and delivery of employee education and communications to enhance understanding and utilization of benefits
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in the field of employee benefits and make recommendations for enhancements or changes to the benefits strategy

In October 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of its Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Until that is finalized, you will be an employee of Honeywell. It is the intention that this role will convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. We expect this to occur in later 2025 or early 2026

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in benefits management or related field
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations globally
  • Experience in developing and executing benefits strategies
  • Strong understanding of US benefits, including defined benefits pensions
  • Good understanding of defined benefit pension schemes globally
  • Strong financial acumen including understanding of accounting of global benefit programs, medical plan underwriting and benefits financing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Experience with global benefits programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex benefit issues
