Procurement and Logistic Specialist II (Finance)



The Procurement and Logistics Specialist II will build on the Specialist I role by setting delivery assignments, identifying inventory reduction opportunities, managing overstock returns, and organizing inventory for supply chain efficiency. They will create and maintain PAR levels and bin locations, notify management of critical backorders, and assist in resolving these issues. Additionally, they will monitor the need for maintenance of equipment needed in the safe and reliable transportation of materials.
This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Sets and maintains appropriate PAR levels for inventory. Creates and maintains organized bin locations for materials. Distributes materials to the correct locations within the facility. Reports critical back-order situations to the Supervisor. Assigns deliveries to departments, ensuring materials arrive in the correct quantity and on time. Requests, monitors, and verifies the delivery of materials. Operates vehicles/equipment and informs the supervisor about necessary repairs. Uses proper ergonomic techniques when lifting and handling materials and packages. Picks up daily mail from the USPS P.O. Box for all CARTI and CARTI Foundation mailboxes and receives incoming mail. Sorts and delivers incoming mail and inter-office correspondence to designated locations within set time frames. Ensures outgoing mail has the correct postage and deliver it to the post office. Manages postage machine, supplies, as well as USPS, FedEx, and UPS postage and shipping materials, ordering additional supplies as needed.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
High School Diploma or GED3-5 years experience in field.Previous materials management, supply chain or logistics experience in a hospital setting preferred.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with Oracle a plus.Not-for profit and health industry experience a plus.Strong analytical and accounting skills.Ability to meet assigned deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.3-5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or logistics.
