Night Shipping Supervisor (Transportation)
Cash-Wa Distributing is searching for the right individual to be our next Night Shipping Supervisor. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the night shipping shift, ensuring that orders are selected, palletized and loaded onto trucks accurately and damage free.
- Manage shift work flow based on staffing and case volume to ensure delivery routes depart on schedule.
- Oversee initial safety training of all new employees; teach and implement safe lifting and loading techniques.
- Complete safety observations of order selectors on a regular basis, ensuring all Safe Work Methods are being followed.
- Follow up with new employees for weekly progress evaluations.
- Be familiar with and verify that employees are following all GDP, GMP and HAACP regulations and guidelines for food safety/safe handling of food product.
- Identify and recommend possible improvements to shift efficiency.
- File Worker's Compensation claims; assist with/complete accident investigations.
- Manage employee time cards.
- Assist Warehouse Manager with any necessary coaching/counseling or discipline of night shift employees.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of one year warehouse experience required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail.
- Good time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
- Good computer skills, experience with Warehouse Management systems preferred.
- Must be willing to work nights.
Essential Functions:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking while supervising/observing warehouse employees.
- Occasionally sit for extended periods while completing paperwork or working on computer.
- Constant use of sight, speech and hearing abilities necessary to communicate with employees, oversee warehouse activities, and safely move through warehouse environment with noise and moving equipment.
- Occasionally lift/carry product from 10lb – 80lb short distances.
- Must be able to work in a multi-temp environment -10F to 55F.
