Facilities Director (Finance)



Position Overview: This position is responsible for directing, planning and leading daily operations at Linde's production facility in Niagara Falls, NY with additional oversight of Linde's Ashtabula, OH operations. The experienced individual has extensive knowledge of principles and practices within operations, and works to drive safety, compliance, operational excellence, and profitability. The site consists of two air separation units, a medium pressure nitrogen liquefier, two hydrogen liquefiers, a steam methane reformer, Hydrogen Electrolyzers, and a nitrogen pipeline. The facility is also home to a large trucking fleet used to distribute our products to customers throughout the northeast. This is a front-line operations role. Accessibility to laptop and cell phone during off-hour is required. Responsibilities: - Safe, reliable, and profitable operation of the facility - Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements which include but are not limited to: OSHA PSM/RMP, DOT, FDA, HPFBI, NYSDEC, EPA etc. Adheres to all internal company policies, programs, and standards - Manages and achieves plant fixed and variable cost goals to meet overall financial targets - Delivers defined value in annual productivity savings - Maintains relationships with suppliers and customers and meets contractual obligations - Accountable for a team of approximately 35 production employees and 40 professional drivers - Directly leads exempt employees - Long term planning for retention, recruitment, training, and professional development of employees - Manage the CBA (Teamsters) for professional drivers, key contributor in contract negotiations - Develop, plan, and execute short, and long-term maintenance strategies to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations - Manage the site's portfolio of capital and expense projects - Engages with support teams for projects or technical assistance - Places high value on team building and effective communications across the organization - Reacts urgently to operational issues, garnering the required resources to minimize impact to customers and the business - Communicates effectively with logistics to ensure reliable and efficient deliveries to customers - Engages with community and professional organizations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree - Over 10 years operations experience with, at minimum, 5 years of management experience. - Comfortable managing multiple tasks and making informed decisions - Proven ability to lead and quickly adapt to changing situations - Strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines - Must be a self-starter with the ability to drive execution of projects as well as strategic and tactical initiatives About Linde: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2024 sales of $33 billion.
