Tax Accountant 1 (New Grad) (Finance)
• Assist with preparation of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, including information returns for controlled foreign corporations (Forms 5471)
• Assist with preparation of quarterly US federal and state estimated income tax payment calculations
• Assist with preparation of the annual global income tax provision
• Assist with U.S. federal and state income tax audits
• Assist with preparation of monthly domestic cash tax forecasts
• Perform income tax account reconciliations
• Prepare income tax return to provision reconciliations
• Coordinate with external service providers on income tax matters
• Assist with preparation of other U.S. federal and state tax compliance matters
• Ensure compliance with tax regulatory and filing requirements
Candidate will also be expected to monitor tax legislation and research various federal, state, and foreign tax issues as they arise.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
• To drive innovation, process optimization and compliance in the Global Tax Department
• Support automation of functions to improve overall efficiency of the Global Tax Department
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Tax. CPA and/or Master's degree are preferred.
• The candidate should have 0-3 years of tax experience, ideally including public accounting/Big 4 experience with experience in U.S. tax compliance and reporting.
• Knowledge of U.S. tax rules, including general understanding of U.S. reporting of international operations
• Experience working in a U.S. multi-national environment would be a strong advantage
• Experience working in a high-tech environment would be an advantage

NI's Global Reporting and Tax Compliance team is responsible for the global tax provision process, global tax rate and cash tax forecasts, U.S. and international income tax compliance and income tax audits. The Tax Accountant will work alongside members of the Global Tax Team as well as domestic and regional finance managers and staff, outside tax advisors, and internal and external auditors.
