Facilities Maintenance Specialist (Finance)



Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the facility is fully operational, safe, clean, and maintained according to company standards. This position performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks in the areas of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general upkeep to support the functionality and appearance of buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Repair and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, doors, locks, furniture, and other facility-related components.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and submit purchase requests when necessary.
  • Assist in setting up for company events, moves, or rearrangement of office space and furniture.
  • Support emergency response efforts and serve as a key contact for facility-related emergencies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or certification in a relevant trade is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various environments, and operate hand/power tools.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on the job location.
Preferred Skills:
  • OSHA certification or knowledge of workplace safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking software or work order systems
