Travel LPN LVN Sr Specialist (Clinic Services) (Healthcare)



Leidos QTC Health Services and our affiliated medical professional corporations (“PCs”), including Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, collaborates closely with government and non-government customers to address current and future program needs within the health services domain. In coordination with the PCs, we specialize in disability-focused medical examinations, independent medical exams and review services, occupational health services, diagnostic testing, and case management solutions. We are seeking a LPN/LVN out of our Phoenix clinic to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women. 

Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska:

As a LPN/LVN with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will: 

  • Provide assistance to attending clinical provider including: assisting patients, taking medical histories, injections of medications and immunizations, etc.
  • Accurately receive and carry out clinical staff/provider orders
  • Administer medications and treatments a ordered by the clinical provider
  • Perform standard diagnostic procedures accurately, efficiently, and with the highest quality including but not limited to: 10-lead electrocardiograms, proficient venipuncture, and preparation and or running  of lab specimens for laboratory courier, pulmonary function test (PFTs), arterial flow Doppler studies, and other clinical diagnostic studies assigned to meet the needs of the organization
  • Perform housekeeping functions such as: changing exam room table paper, upkeep of cleanliness of the entire office (exam rooms, bathrooms, waiting area, front office, lab room, etc.), ensuring all equipment is clean and presentable
  • Chaperone during examinations as required or requested
  • If fluent in other languages, assist claimants and providers with translation of questionnaire forms or during evaluation, as necessary
  • Be responsible for front office duties such as: answering telephones, preparing schedules and confirming appointments, data entry (e.g., referral contracts, post appointment information, review of computerized worksheets manually completed by claimants), filing and inventory including set-up of workstations and computers, troubleshooting computer/internet issues and coordinating with shipping vendors
  • Verify information through dialogue with clinical provider on all orders/instructions given. Assist in the retrieval of diagnostic tests for upload into propriety software application
  • Partner with operational teams and assists in provisioning of medical records
  • Assist in the reconciliation and identification of medications for upload and possible refill in the EMR application
  • Work with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately, may assist in preparation and delivery of reports
  • Be responsible for administrative duties on-site including completion of expense reports in a timely manner following company policy
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Have the ability to travel up to 70% of the time

Required Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma, or equivalent GED.  Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Graduation from a state approved and accredited licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse diploma or certificate from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • A minimum of 3+ years of hands on clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care and/or ER
  • Current use and proficiency of/in Manual Vitals, EKGs, Blood Draws, and Venipuncture
  • A clean and clear LPN/LVN license
  • Must possess a valid, current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license to practice as a nurse by the state Board of Nursing
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider with the American Heart Association certification or higher
  • A Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) to operate across the U.S. (prior to hire)
  • A valid U.S. Driver's License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations
  • CAOHC Certification required within 90 days of hire (paid for by the company)
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required.
  • If applicable, must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).

Additional Information: 

  • Training: 3 weeks of comprehensive onboarding and training. Week 1 - online compliance on-site in AZ Clinic, week 2 - on-site out of our Nashville corporate office for hands on clinical training, week 3 - systems training with the leadership team
  • Shift: (When in Clinic) Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30am -5:30pm, (When Traveling) Sunday through Saturday, hours vary
  • Travel requirements: Up to 70% regional travel, potentially some national travel if needed
  • Probationary Period: 90-Day

This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels. 90-Day Probationary Period:

Employment as a LPN/LVN will include successful completion of a 90-day probationary period during which you will be given objectives to achieve. This timeframe lets you assess your readiness for the position as well as allows Leidos QTC Health Services to determine your ability to successfully perform the job. You will be provided objectives, documentation, training and performance feedback during the 90-day probationary period as part of your assimilation to the role. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, you will be considered a permanent employee.
