Director, Document Review Services (Legal)

Job Description:

The Director, Document Review Services has complete oversight of service delivery, review operations, staffing and administrative duties associated with the Document Review Services including fulfillment of operational requirements to meet client needs and oversight of Document Review Services personnel and service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all projects and activities including hiring and training of personnel, development of review protocols, project design, reporting/metrics and quality control.
  • Serve as the leader and primary point of contact for clients.
  • General counseling on strategic approach to review in order to meet a client's ultimate litigation goals.  
  • Provide oversight of time entry and collection process ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data.
  • Provide accurate verification and approval of monthly invoices.
  • Promptly execute project start up activities.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and valid/active state bar association admission in any US jurisdiction.
  • Two-four years of litigation practice at nationally recognized law firm or corporation, including oversight/management of large scale document review projects or equivalent legal process outsourcing leadership experience.
  • Considerable experience in litigation discovery, with a focus on electronic discovery. 
  • Experience in vendor relationship management and managing 3rd party service providers.
  • Superior client focus skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Successful experience as a manager of people.
  • Ability to multi-task, wear many hats and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills.
