Actuarial Internship (2026) (Administrative)

The Opportunity: Do you want to be challenged? Consider an internship with Segal where you can work on actual client deliverables and interesting assignments while enhancing your technical and interpersonal skills as you network and explore a potential career with us.

This internship allows you an immediate opportunity to apply your analytical, problem-solving, technical and communication skills, contributing to the development of solutions to challenging client issues. You will work on a variety of projects in either of our retirement and health practices where we provide expert consulting on benefit programs. Learn what benefits consulting is all about.  We work with corporations, governments and union benefit plans. Your projects may include client studies, data analyses, research, government filings, valuations, benefit calculations and ad-hoc assignments. Hybrid internships are available in each of the following locations: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hartford, New York, San Francisco, Glendale and Washington, DC offices.
 

  • Pursuit of your undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
  • Actuarial exams: demonstrated progress with successful completion of at least one exam.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Excel and Word);programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Diligent attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and ability to take action and be proactive.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience as well as work independently with a strong work ethic.
