Engineer Cloud (Information Technology)



Job Summary

Job Description

The Cloud Engineer will work closely with all areas of IT to assist in the architecture, design and build of the cloud infrastructure within the Medline based cloud services such as Microsoft Azure. The engineer needs to have the aptitude to lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions in public Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service 
(PaaS).

You will be working in a collaborative team environment to help implement our cloud and container strategies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define, build, and operate PaaS and SaaS cloud capabilities.

  • Create and update technical standards documentation.

  • Work closely with Medline infrastructure and application teams to implement and manage secure, scalable, repeatable, and reliable infrastructure environments.

  • Adheres to all Medline Change Management processes.

  • Works closely with and advises Information Security on cloud vulnerabilities and threats by identifying, analyzing and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.

  • Manage assigned projects and tasks with minimum oversight and ensure timely completion.

  • Apply changes in our platforms using configurations management and infrastructure-as-code-principles.

  • Maintain on-call rotation and respond within defined SLA's as needed after hours.

  • Quickly identify trends and patterns, and drive out root causes of complex technical problems, in order to design and implement appropriate solutions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education 
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Certification / Licensure

  • Microsoft Azure Foundations.

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years of experience deploying PaaS and SaaS based cloud services.

  • 1-2 Years of experience in Terraform deployments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Agile practices within scrum and kanban frameworks.

  • Experience building and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for critical applications.

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routing.

  • Working knowledge of secrets management (Azure Key Vault, Hashicorp Vault).

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
