Director - International Supply Chain Sourcing and Operations (Remote) (Finance)

The Director of International Supply Chain Sourcing and Operations is responsible for working with multiple functions to create the global supply chain sourcing strategy to support international markets (outside the US). This includes and is not limited to integrating supply chain planning to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and competitive advantage. This role will create the strategy and operational plan for regional best source planning to optimize inventory availability and cost effectiveness by conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and assessing their suitability for the organization's needs. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in business or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain required.
  • 15+ years of direct management experience required.
  • Experience within the medical device market preferred.
  • Direct MRP experience required.
  • Global Project Management experience required.
  • Industry Certification preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global buy-make sourcing and manufacturing strategy to support company's Global growth objectives.
  • Build and manage relationships with international suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and products.
  • Identify potential sourcing locations outside the US, considering factors such as cost, quality, reliability and volume.
  • Support an agile long-term strategy of international supply chain operations in coordination Corporate and Regional Leadership to ensure supply continuity to maximize Global revenue generation.
  • Coordinating with regional suppliers on logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution best suited for local optimization.
  • Develop the supply strategy for product launches in coordination with Corporate and Regional Leadership.
  • Work to reduce overall Global supply chain costs through effective sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and logistics optimization.
  • Required Travel up to 30%.
  • Ensure compliance within functional area and support the compliance objectives of the organization.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and demonstrate an understanding of new systems and business processes.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze potential solutions, and use good sound judgment to make decisions.
  • Comprehensive level of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook email experience.
  • Working knowledge of large ERP system, SAP preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong understanding of Supply chain, forecasting, MRP, Procurement with experience in all areas (Preferably Medical Device.)
  • Promotes understanding of Supply Chain opportunities for internal and external customers.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
