Packaging Coordinator (B-12hr Days) (Finance)

Job Summary
Responsible for working in and monitoring work flow in all packaging operations. Previous Packaging Operator experience required. Acts as a backfill in absence of the Supervisor for day-to-day activities. Must be able to provide leadership, guidance, communication, problem solving and troubleshooting ability across various levels. Works under minimal direction.

Essential Functions

  • Within established guidelines, maintains orderly process work orders through the Packaging area.
  • Monitors area for possible process improvements and product flow.
  • Manages problems on the production floor.
  • Responsible for making sure inventory is up to date and accurate.
  • Performs other duties as required, which may include assisting in the training of others, or filling in for sustained periods of time in the absence of others, report completion, etc.
  • Works closely with Supervisor and directions given.
  • Solid working knowledge of all packaging processes and procedures.
  • As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily Packaging requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Packaging computer systems in tracking production.
  • Seeks assistance from Supervisor in identifying and reporting problems or concerns, relating to job functions, safety, quality, employee performance, and attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required to include but not limited to participating in employee disciplinary process, performance
    evaluation process, and attendance tracking.
  • As business dictates, employees may spend 100% of the day performing one particular task or may spend 50% of the day performing 1 task and the other 50% performing a second task.

  • Acknowledges and Complies with all company policies and procedures and all SOP's.
  • Regular contact with co-workers, quality assurance, and management
  • Exhibits strong communication skills, verbal, written and comprehension of the English language.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of Packaging experience. Strong mathematics and business
    experience or equivalent training required. Previous warehouse/distribution experience
    and demonstrated skills in a lead role required. Must have strong communication,
    mathematic, analytical, PC skills required. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple
    priorities. Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and work independently as well
    as in a team environment

Education:
  • High school degree required. Associates degree preferred (i.e. Business Management,
    Business Administration, Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology).

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $19.00 and $20.00 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
