Talent Manager (Creative Design)



Meyer Utility Structures, and Arcosa subsidiary, seeks a Talent Manager to support the company's strategy of enhancing the continued growth and development of our entire team. This is an opportunity for an adaptive individual to impact and help shape a successful, growing manufacturing organization. As a part of the Meyer HR Team, this Manager will be responsible for Recruiting, Talent Management, Performance Management, and Communications within the Business Unit. 

Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today's transmission industry standards and specifications.

What you'll do:

Recruiting:

  • Responsible for the Salary Recruiting Process to include sourcing, screening, scheduling of interviews, and the selection process.
  • Partner with the HR Director, HR Managers, and Business Leaders to understand the current and future business hiring needs
  • Partners with HRBP on the HR Onboarding Process to ensure a smooth transition (I-9, IT Access, IT Hardware)
  • Develop pipelines for hard to fill positions.
  • Assist Facilities with strategies to fill hard to fill Hourly Positions, such as QA Inspectors, as well as develop a pipeline for specific skilled roles
  • Assist in developing Diversity & Inclusion Strategies & Pipelines that match the Companies Diversity Initiatives
  • Develop relationships with Local Memphis Colleges/Trade Schools
  • Assist Facilities with Local Trade School Relationships
  • Develop Concrete Hiring Plans for Florida Facility

Talent Management:

  • Assist with the Annual & Quarterly Talent Review process with HR & Managers (9-Box & Succession Planning)
  • Be the co-owner of all High Potential Development Action Plans
    • Responsible for Quarterly check-ins with Managers on their Associate's Development Plans
    • Assisting with the creation of Talent Development Profiles
    • Ensuring completion of the Action Plans
    • Ensuring the Quality of the Action Plans

Performance Management:

  • Manage the Performance Review Process to include overall communication of the process; inputting goals into the system as well as owning the entire year end performance review process from Associate Feedback to Manager Feedback to delivery of the Reviews.

Communication:

  • Focused Social Media content related to Recruiting (work closely with Marketing Manager)
  • Interview Training for HR & Managers
  • Help develop targeted communications that focus on our Diversity Initiatives

Other HR Duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting or related role
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant business experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to remain flexible in the face of changing market forces and organizational priorities
  • Strong communication skills required (verbal and written); strong presentation skills
  • Experience using UKG Recruiting HR software preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, abilities, motivations, or backgrounds
