Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to utilize AutoCAD or similar drafting software

Must meet the requirements pertaining to Vision Acuity Testing under the Quality Assurance Manual.

SALARY RANGE
$90k - $100K depending on experience SUMMARY
The tooling engineer will design robust forging processes while supporting FMI to achieve established operation and financial targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
Generate seamless ring and open-die forging configurations for quotation.
Design tooling for manufacture of seamless ring and open-die forgings.
Develop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings.
Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets established by Supervisor.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
