Construction Manager (Architecture)

What you'll be challenged to do:

Our Ebensburg, PA team is looking for a Construction Manager, who will Work with Project Manager and Grant Manager to prepare project construction setup documents, subcontracts, and monthly requests for reimbursement and payments for all construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Be principal point of contact for multiple construction projects and meet deadlines
  • Review project documents to ensure understanding of plans, specs, scope of work, schedule and critical means and methods of construction
  • Prepare and update a construction field binder (electronic preferred) to be utilized for all projects by the resident project representative (RPR)
  • Prepare and update monthly Cost to Complete reports for all active projects with the Project Manager
  • Be well organized, detail oriented and capacity to multi-task successfully
  • Prepare and update monthly construction schedules to assist with determining how many resident project representatives (RPR) are needed
  • Attend and lead Pre-Construction Conferences and Bi-weekly Progress Meetings and create/ distribute minutes of these meetings.
  • Lead responsibility & accountability to the client for all field operations on a project.
  • Review submittals & shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
  • Maintain a control set of contract drawings, shop drawings, sketches
  • Produce necessary letters/memo's throughout the project
  • Review and approve all monthly payment applications associated with your projects
  • Communicate with, monitor & supervise all resident project representative (RPR)
  • Review daily and weekly reports provided by resident project representative (RPR)
  • Review Job Costs weekly with resident project representative (RPR)
  • Develop & maintain site's safety & logistics plan with RPR
  • Coordinate with Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely progression of the project
  • Manage, track, and create change order forms
  • Identify any problems encountered during construction and recommend solution to the Project Manager and RPR
  • Develop, update, modify & maintain testing requirements for each project and make sure the RPR is aware of the requirements and documentation
  • Work together with Division Manager to ensure that all equipment and labor needs are met
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, owner representatives, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Stay informed of trends and developments, such as new equipment, methods and procedures that are developing in the industry
  • Coordinate and assist with project closeout documents. Work with the RPR, Project Manager, Grant Manager to complete all closeout documents.

 


Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of inspection experience with some technical training or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software and Internet software.

  • ACI Field and/or Strength, Troxler or similar state DOT certification are recommended, but not required.
