Business Process and Project Technician

Orlando, FL

Position Summary

Thales is looking for an Business Process Technician, whose role will be responsible for the hands-on implementation of business processes and the successful adoption of digital tools to support operational efficiency. This role acts as a key support figure for end-users, focusing on understanding workflows, championing new digital initiatives, and fostering a community of practice.

In this position, you will ensure adherence to established processes, recommend practical improvements, and assist with data collection and analysis to monitor performance within the Americas region.

Referral Bonus Eligibility: Tier 1 - $2,500

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Works directly with stakeholders and users to understand operational needs and support the implementation of new or improved processes. Assists in evaluating current business processes and recommends practical solutions for improvement to enhance daily operational efficiency. Demonstrates sound operational judgment in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day operations problems efficiently.
  • Supports the formalization and organization of business process information to make it more manageable and actionable for users. Contributes to the adoption of worldwide business processes at the local level.
  • Assists with data collection and basic analysis to evaluate the practical impact of process changes on operations. Supports the deployment of Digital initiatives to the Americas Operations Organization.
  • Assists in measuring and reporting the practical efficiency and user adoption of Digital initiatives. Participates in the functional testing and feedback phases for new features of Digital tools.
  • Acts as a champion for Digital Tools, providing on-the-ground support to maximize user adoption and coverage. Cultivates and supports a community of Key Users, providing training and resources to empower them and foster autonomy.
  • Provides Tier 1 run support for Digital projects in the Americas Region, acting as a focal point for user issues. Helps to collect and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress of initiatives and projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years' equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in operational support, process adherence, or a related technical role within a business environment.
  • Proven experience working with internal teams to implement operational improvements. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly explain technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on supporting and guiding users. Effective problem-solving skills for day-to-day operational challenges.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong personal commitment to achieving practical objectives.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM; flexible work schedule may be required during travel.
  • Physical Environment: General office, warehouse and repair station environment may present elevated noise levels.
  • Travel: This position may require Domestic/International travel 10%.

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 62,502.50 - 82,956.00 - 104,253.50 USD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee's career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company's annual salary budget, the customer's program requirements, and the company's internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's status protected by local, state, or federal law.
