Assistant Regional Product Manager (Finance)

The Assistant Regional Product Manager is accountable for supporting the work of the Midwest Region product team. This work will involve assisting with profitable growth strategies for the 13 Midwest states, rate changes and pricing strategies, state regulatory changes, and managing binding suspensions in consultation with Line Leaders. This role will report to the VP Regional Product Leader for the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for driving profitable growth by assisting in the development and monitoring of various regional growth projects
  • Work in a collaborative team environment with Sales, Underwriting, Risk Consulting, Operations, IT, Claims, General Counsel, Home Office Product Management and Actuarial to achieve overall business plans
  • Work with field representatives and Line of Business leads to address outcomes of rate indications by developing pricing and/or underwriting actions that contribute to growth while maintaining profitability and target market focus
  • Work with the Midwest Regional Team to monitor/identify emerging trends/concerns
  • Evaluate market competitiveness, developing an understanding of market drivers and evaluating competitive advantages/disadvantages of products
  • Conduct research and quantitative and qualitative analysis on state specific financial results and trends
  • Assist in communicating results of strategic & tactical decisions to senior management
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to address regulatory changes within the region
