Job purpose: Tiny Boxwoods Productions daytime servers care deeply about our culture and will provide a genuine sense of hospitality and exceed guests expectations by providing friendly, authentic, and perfect service. Daytime servers have a deep knowledge of our menu and present guests with upscale service, with enthusiasm and a smile while accurately representing the Tiny Boxwoods Productions brand.

Duties and responsibilities: The primary job duties and responsibilities of being a daytime server include but are not limited to the following:

• Must be passionate about food, wine, spirits and coffee
• Must represent the Tiny Boxwoods Productions culture
• Must learn and be knowledgeable of the food and beverage menus
• Ability to memorize food and beverage notes
• Prepares dining room and patio for service
• Accurately take guests' orders
• Must be able to successfully carry 2-3 plates at one time
• Must possess tray carrying skills
• Must ensure all guests are well taken care of and needs are met
• Provide outstanding table maintenance for guests throughout their meal
• Collect and polish all mise en place for the operation
• Ability to interact socially with guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Organize timing of food delivery from kitchen
• Exceptional food handling
• Excellent bottle presentation and beverage service
• Must monitor quality control and guest satisfaction
• Confident and professional salesmanship
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
• Minimal food preparation to include the cleaning and cutting of fruit
• Ability to use Point of Service computer system (POS) to enter guests' food and beverage orders
• Must adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policy and regulations
• Answering and directing phone calls in a professional manner
• Follow side work procedures, keeping the restaurant properly cleaned and organized from open to close
• Must always be pressed and tailored, complying to the dress code policy
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the position of food runner/daytime server.

• TABC Certified
• Texas Food Handlers certificate
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good memory
• Flexible availability in scheduling
• Capacity to multitask
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Clear communication skills
• Close attention to detail

Working conditions: The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting, on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

Physical requirements: The incumbent is required to stand for the entire shift. Incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires walking, standing and minimal lifting.
