Summary The Accounting Intern is responsible for supporting Scotlynn USA divisions Accounts Payable administrative and supportive duties. Primary Responsibilities The Accounting Intern is responsible for the following that are included but not limited to: Gathering daily incoming mail; Sorting, reviewing and reporting daily accounts payable BOLs (Bills of Lading) for completed shipmentsMaking sure all BOLs submitted include proper paperwork to process paymentCoordinating with Scotlynn Group Accounting and Financial Operations Department to ensure proper processing of Accounts Payable, analytics and reportingPerforming financial data entry, document scanning, filing, and indexingTracking Accounts Payable and reconciling or auditing as necessaryCompleting outbound phone calls to carriers, factoring companies, Logistics Account Managers, or brokers to expedite the accounts payable flow for efficient processing Additional Responsibilities Helping with various administrative projects or tasks as assigned Knowledge and Skill Requirements High school diploma or equivalentCollege or University coursework completed in Accounting or other related field of BusinessPart-time or Full-time enrolled and attending College or University student Working Conditions Working conditions are normal for an office environment
