SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Warehouse lift truck operator is responsible for maintaining the supplies needed to keep the production of the taco sauce line running. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the Taco Sauce line, from the preparation area to the end of the packaging area, according to established quality and sanitation standards. Clean-up person works with chemicals and is not closely supervised.
Shift: 2nd shift, 3pm - 11pm Monday - Friday.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complies with all applicable standards such as USDA, FDA, relevant CFRs, GFSI, and other applicable customer requirements.
Adheres to HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and other QA plans and required process control procedures to insure processes, work in progress, raw materials and finished goods meet the specified quality and standards.
Must assist Mechanic as necessary and requested. Must perform job so as to maintain quality standards. Follow established policies and procedures. Care for assigned equipment, supplies, and materials. Perform job function in such a manner that maximizes productivity at all times. Report all accidents immediately. Report all out of specification situations immediately to Supervisor. Maintain housekeeping and safety of work area. Point out methods for either a safer and/or more productive operation. Move all finished product to storage.
Maintain supply of caps to capper. Maintain supplies to production line. Stage all ingredients, except dry spice, for future batches of sauce. Dump garbage cans and assist in sanitation as necessary. All other duties as assigned.
Properly clean the mix kettle, tanks, conveyors, filler and labeler in such a manner that the line meets quality standards and is ready for production.
Ability to disassemble and re-assemble food manufacturing equipment.
Ability to understand the flow of product, water, chemicals, etc., through a series of pipes and equipment so as not to contaminate any sauce or otherwise damage product or equipment.
Ability to safely work with chemicals and perform lock-out/tag-out functions when needed to perform work.
Maintain area in a clean and safe manner by ensuring floor is clean of debris and garbage is emptied.
Must be self-motivated and work well without close supervision. High degree of commitment to quality and safety required due to nature of job.
Flexibility to adjust to changing work hours based on production needs. Ability to work all hours needed.
Remove all garbage to compactor.
Maintain chemical logs and any other necessary paperwork.
Clean the compactor area walls and floors.
Notify Shift Supervisor of any issues promptly. If necessary, also notify Supervisor or Mechanic if necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision. Should have the ability to interact with co-workers on taco sauce line. Able to safely and confidently work around moving machinery so as to avoid accident to yourself and others.
Able to safely operate a lift truck. Able to follow directions for sauce ingredient staging and record as necessary. Physically capable to lift required amounts.
