Estimator Coordinator (Construction)

As an Estimator Coordinator at Locke Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting our estimating team by coordinating and facilitating the bid preparation process for construction projects. Your responsibilities will include gathering project information, conducting quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes from subcontractors and vendors, and preparing bid documents. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, Update & Coordinate new bid assignments, and establish bid due date, by communicating w/Sales, Estimating Manager, Customers, or Bid Services within 24 hrs. Learn & Develop High Level Technical Bid Review, summary of scope criteria, and project requirements, to pass along to Estimators. Verify & seek any min. design criteria & Pre-Bid documents from customer/sales for estimating in advance to maintain quote OTD. Coordinate w/ Estimating Manager / Sales Manager to establish Scope Criteria and Sales Strategy. Manage & Maintain Sub-Supplier List. Manage & Maintain Locke Solutions CRM. Learn product knowledge and application process.Assist in preparing quote estimates up to but not limited to $500k, for Review & Approval.Assist in bid packages, manage & collect quotes from vendors and suppliers (As Required).Act as Liaison between Sales/Customer and Estimating Team for Bid status updates. Process manage small orders/ standard & (Modified) Standard Products that do not require Project Management / Engineering.
SUCCESSFUL RESULTS:
Efficiently organizes documents required to quote projects for the estimating team.Actively engage in blueprint review sessions and seek opportunities to expand knowledge.Maintain open lines of communication with the Sales team and provide timely updates on project statuses.Efficiently perform potential project take-offs by using construction drawings, specifications, and project-related documents.Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced construction environmentDevelop understanding of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years Coordinating/Administrative experience.Comfortable with numbers and technology.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Great attention to detail, well organized, and reliable.Experience & Conceptual knowledge of reading plans, specifications. (Desired)Bachelors degree in construction science or relevant field (Desired).
