Job Overview:
Responsible for supervising sanitation staff and vendors that ensure that the building and grounds are operating efficiently. Ensures that the facility is maintained at a high level, snow removal is performed in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. May maintain departmental records, logs, and files, answers and directs telephone calls and questions.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Ensures that Company, Federal, State and Local guidelines and regulations regarding sanitation and pest control are met on a daily basis.
• Implements and maintains control programs to ensure that facility is free of insects and rodents.
• Supervises and trains sanitation associates.
• Facilitate inspections as necessary.
• Orders parts, supplies or tools to accomplish all jobs.
• Monitors and maintain department accounts to ensure quarterly budgets are adhered to.
• Coordinates with contracted landscape company for maintenance of grounds.
• Administers recycling program.
• Recommends new replacement equipment to support department goals.
Job Requirements:
• Bilingual - Must fluently speak and understand Spanish
• College or trade school degree desirable, work experience in areas of refrigeration and electrical
• Responsible for effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with external clients, customers, contractors, and officials.
• Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location
• May maintain budgets and future estimates for individual projects.
• Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications: Word and Excel.
• Good math skills.
