Principal Electrical Engineer (Finance)



This role is for a Digital Design Domain Leader, responsible for Digital Design Excellence across Honeywell Aerospace programs. You will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in the electrical design domain, with a focus on computing architectures and high-speed digital design. In your role, you will elevate competency and ensure that the digital designers within the electrical design community consistently produce quality results. You will provide expert design review support, conduct technical analysis, drive best practices and develop technical strategies. In addition, you will ensure the Digital Electrical Design organization is evolving to meet business needs through knowledge development, rigorous processes, mentoring assignments, tool strategies and proactive adoption of emerging technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical leadership on product development programs
  • Ensure technical excellence across the electrical design community
  • Develop, analyze, and test electronic circuits and PBAs with a focus on digital design
  • Define and deploy next generation computing architectures
  • Conduct trade studies
  • Evaluate and implement tool and technology strategies
  • Develop training material and best practices
  • Develop and improve processes
  • Participate as an expert peer reviewer on product development programs
  • Mentor and coach developing engineers

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 15 years of computing architecture and high-speed digital design experience

WE VALUE:
  • Bachelor of Science or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Strong experience with Commercial and Military Aerospace Standards and Requirements, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD-0100, DO-254, etc.
  • Knowledge of Digital Design Standards and best practices
  • Extensive experience with circuit design and analysis tools, Siemens EDA DXDesigner, Expedition, HyperLynx SI & PI, etc.
  • Ability to analyze quality metrics and act on data to improve quality, reliability and robustness
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvement
  • Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment

The annual base salary range for this position is $175 - $218k. This position is incentive eligible. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
