Data Center Technician (Information Technology)
Work as a representative of the High companies, in the capacity of supporting information technologies and infrastructure in both a Help Desk and Field Technician support role. Candidate should have the ability to work effectively and contribute positively as a team member within a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to explain solutions to other individuals over the phone as well as in the field.
Assists the Technical Assistance Manager to High Company LLC in specific information technologies and develops strategies to create a competitive advantage through technology. As a representative of the Information Technology department, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation and support of current/new infrastructure technologies as needed.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND/OR EDUCATION:
Must have working knowledge and prior experience with technical support of personal computer based hardware such as PC, Mac, mobile devices, copiers, printers and peripherals
The ability to assess hardware and software issues and make technical decisions without supervisor assistance
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary PC application, hardware, software and peripheral support. This includes support for desktop, workstations, mobile devices and the configuration of computer systems for employees.
Working in conjunction with other members of the Information Technology department to assist them as directed in diagnosing and correcting problems with servers and network devices. This includes performing basic network administration to troubleshoot software and performance issues.
Provide Management with suggestions and documentation on recommendations for re-engineering of business processes, enhanced workflow, increased productivity and increased employee satisfaction.
Must be able to provide backup support to other members of the technical support staff.
Assists in efforts of project team members to bring about timely implementation of installations utilizing appropriate project management skills (training, delegating, motivating, mediating and communication).
Stay abreast of changes in corporate standards regarding Information Technologies.
Working with corporate standards, design and implement processes to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of internal systems; maintaining backups and other processes to guarantee protection and security of critical data.
