Managing Director, Enterprise Security Risk Management (Finance)

Kroll's Security Risk Management practice specializes in helping clients avoid and manage risk to their people, assets, and operations. Our global team has tremendous depth of knowledge and experience in areas as diverse as our clients' security needs, with services that include (but are not limited to) threat and vulnerability assessments; security audits, master planning, and policy development; travel risk assessments; information security and TSCM services; executive protection services; private client services; security design and system planning, procurement, and implementation; business continuity and resilience services; and crisis management and emergency response. Many of our professionals come from backgrounds in diverse military organizations and law enforcement agencies; mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and telecommunications fields; and related operational disciplines such as finance, information security, and crisis communications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the growth of the Security Risk Management (SRM) practice and the wider Kroll as an expert practitioner and maintaining Kroll's exacting standards for client deliverables and services.
  • Engage in self-driven business development, highlighting and showcasing all of Kroll's offerings to meet various client needs.
  • Directly overseeing the delivery of direct-hire and sub-contractor-provided operational security services.
  • Building strong client relationships based on trust and confidence, and always ensuring top quality service is delivered within the expected timeline and budget.
  • Identify sub-contractor subject matter experts when needed as the market changes, closely vet and screen their bona fides ensuring they are up to Kroll standards.
  • Engage regularly with sub-contractor partners for the delivery of projects on time, on budget and focusing on margin maximization.
  • Work effectively as part of a very collaborative global team to achieve the goals of the wider Security Risk Management Practice.
  • Collaborate with practitioners spanning all of Kroll on cross-functional projects and collaborative business development efforts.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment, be commercially-focused and be driven by professional excellence and a commitment to the Kroll brand.
  • Train and mentor junior staff.
  • Collaborate and support other business opportunities across any relevant business lines.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional leadership.
  • An established history of providing security and cyber security services across the globe. This should include security audits of sites, delivering business continuity consulting, enterprise security risk management consulting and managing security projects in the areas of executive protection, surveillance, counter-surveillance, travel security and/or other security functions.
  • A good network within the security sector in APAC
  • Knowledge of current security trends and applicable industry technologies that assist in managing risks (i.e. the use of artificial intelligence and web-based risk management tools).
  • A good background in business development.
  • Strong command of operational security tasks (i.e. close protection, surveillance, counter-surveillance, etc.)
  • Demonstrated acumen for leading a professional team, supervising people by example and maximizing the effectiveness of a diverse team.
  • Proven experience in delivering hands-on, high-quality deliverables to exacting standards.
  • Demonstrate exemplary written and oral communication skills. Professional-level writing samples will likely be requested for candidates progressing through the application process.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to establish trust and credibility across the organization.
  • Strong ability to influence across multiple business lines.
  • Must be flexible, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to think independently and make sound decisions.
  • Must be proficient in MS office products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities, demonstrating the ability to reach the desired project outcome
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • BA/BSc preferred.
