Position Overview:

The incumbent is responsible for learning and execution of FX Trading desk workflow and policy to assist in day to day processing of FX transactions under the direction of the VP, FX Trading.  Duties will include processing client and bank transactions, reporting, assisting with customer needs on the execution side of things and participation in other initiatives to assist in the growth of the department.

What you'll do:

  • FX Desk Coverage:  Responsible for aiding VP FX Trading in managing day to day flow from trading desk perspective including pricing transactions from manual channels, incoming wires, forwards, swaps and more.  Includes keeping clients up to date via commentaries and conversations on current market conditions.  Acts in a mindful manner and in the best interests of the bank from a risk and revenue perspective to help maximize P/L on bank FX opportunities.  Expected to grow mastery of FX concepts and workflows over time.

  • Departmental Reporting: Responsible for running and upkeep of various system reports to support daily workflow, management visibility, regulatory requirements and more.  Also includes improvement of reporting tools used by the department.

  • US Dollar Flow conversion/sales support: Work with FX sales team to highlight opportunities to convert customers sending international USD wires to sending FX.  Includes ongoing analysis of current flows and preparation of reporting for opportunities based on banker, currency, etc.  May also entail writing market commentaries.

  • Special Projects: Work on additional projects at the direction of ISG management to help expand ISG product capabilities and improve processes/best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 1-5 years financial payments background

  • Experience in commercial banking with international products preferred

  • Experience with foreign exchange concepts and products and/or international payments preferred

  • Customer service experience with bank and corporate client bases

  • Ability to work independently, while establishing strong working relationships with other areas of the Bank

  • Comfortability with online payment portals

  • Ability to gain and apply knowledge of information systems

  • Strong organization skills with high attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Ability to handle sensitive customer information and issues with tact and discretion

  • Background/interest in global financial markets, economics

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000 - $79,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
