Associate Design Director (Finance)

This Associate Design Director will make work that is social-first by nature. It will be important to stay current on design trends, identify and implement the coolest, newest creative ideas. It is also important that this Design Director is inclusive in the creative, allowing collaboration and meaningful exchange between design and account teams-all the while helping to execute a shared vision that is top-notch.

Responsibilities:

    • Design excellence, every time
    • Manage projects from creative concept to execution; lead the entire process and substantiate strategic direction with design justification
    • Provide leadership to other designers, helping them think through design at the conceptual level; make choices based on brand tone and strategy
    • Articulate innovative ideas and solutions for our clients' interactive needs
    • Keep abreast of current design and cultural trends;maintain awareness of relevant advances in our industry and share with the team as appropriate
    • Understand business objectives and strategies of client assignments
    • Collaborate with Account Service partners to develop and present design solutions to our clients

Qualifications:

    • At least six years of relevant experience, & at least three in an agency setting
    • Strong portfolio representing work that is social-first
    • A BFA in Fine Arts, Advertising or Graphic Design, strong understanding of graphic design, strong layout and composition with a keen eye for typography
    • Experienced in: InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote and Illustrator, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
    • The Design Director must be passionate, inspirational, organized and highly collaborative
    • Accountable for design excellence of the creative team; carry out the design vision for the agency
    • Actively aware of emerging technology
    • Consistently and effectively manage time, meet deadlines and provide creative solutions; demonstrate strong organizational skills in facilitating workflow for the team
    • Exhibit eagerness to learn and grow professionally, as well as teaching and mentoring others

$86,000 - $138,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
