The successful candidate for the Operations Intern position will become an integral member of the Johnsonville Operations Team where your main objective will be working with multiple plant leadership teams to help role out standardizations across plants.Responsibilities:
Review Standard Operating Procedures for consistency across all facilities
Gain hands ‑ on experience with plant workflows by working collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, safety, and reliability excellence functions.
Participating in or lead projects to streamline processes, reduce waste, boost efficiency, and enhance quality
Collect and analyze OEE and downtime to support performance tracking and decision-making.
Make recommendations to improve and strengthen the existing SOPs
Work independently as well as collaboratively within multiple site Operations Teams
Develop knowledge and insight into daily operations activities
Maintain accurate and complete work records in notebooks and project reports
Share your ideas, questions, problems, and results with other team members
Education:
Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Operations Management.
Junior or senior status preferred.
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
Experience:
Previous work experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to work "off shifts" as needed
Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
Willingness and ability to travel to various facilities near campus
Must be a self-starter and possess a strong drive for excellence
Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
