Community Engagement Coordinator (Finance)
You have a High School Diploma or GED paired with two years of related work experience.
You have prior education or knowledge related to hunger, international development and/or non-profits.
You are tech savvy with a strong knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce and general internet software.
Knowledge of inventory management and requisition procedures.
You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
You're an extrovert with strong presentation and public speaking skills who is comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
You thrive in a fast paced environment and are able to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously and are able to efficiently work independently.
You're looking for an opportunity that offers a flexible schedule and are willing and able to work most weekends and some evenings.
You're able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse and have the experience/ability to learn using specialized equipment such as box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jackets.
You currently hold or are able to obtain, relevant qualifications, including a Forklift Certification, DOT physical, and maintain DOT certification.
About the Team
Our Community Engagement team leads the charge of recruiting potential donors, event hosts and volunteers. We are a team of volunteer and donor relationship professionals fundraising professionals with the collective goal of ending world hunger through the communities we serve! We operate a face-paced mission-driven volunteer and donor engagement program with events in businesses, faith-based organizations and educational institutions. We believe that we lead a movement to end hunger.
What You Will Own and Improve
Event Facilitation: You will facilitate brief educational programs on hunger for meal packaging volunteers and present, network as well as advocate for our mission. You'll transport raw materials to satellite packaging locations on a weekly basis and facilitate equipment setup for events using both a box truck and a pallet jack. You will train volunteers on proper packaging procedures and adjust volunteer assignments as needed. You will collect donations and funds raised at events and ensure all documentation is properly processed and maintained, including invoices and receipts for deposit. You'll package the finished product for shipping and work to grow the movement with donation and volunteer requests and maintaining strong client/vendor relationships.
Logistics and Warehousing: You'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization and compliance with OSHA, USDA and FDA standards within the warehouse. You'll monitor and record inventory of raw ingredients, equipment/supplies and meals shipped. You'll assist in organizing your location's shipments and receiving deliveries. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely on a daily basis and stage locations for events.
Community Outreach: You will assist in program promotion by delivering presentations to a variety of audiences, including religious congregations, schools and other groups. You'll be expected to prospect new potential clients for event support, hosting meal packaging experiences and to support location's programs.
