Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Pediatric Sedation Clinic (Finance)



Work Schedule :

80% FTE; core hours between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our medical/surgical inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. You will be a part of a dynamic nationally recognized Pediatric Sedation Clinic.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Perform history and assessments
  • Develop a sedation plan in collaboration with the attending Physician
  • Perform moderate sedation to children for a variety of procedures
  • Assist in deep sedations for a variety of procedures

  • UW Health's Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard. This unique advisory council serves to promote, support, advocate and advise on APP practice and provide expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization.

Education :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin ANDactive board certification as a NP in Family, Pediatric Acute Care, or Pediatric Primary Care.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin ANDactive PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire ANDCPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
