Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales directors and their teams in achieving sustained sales growth, implementing sales strategies and tactics to meet annual revenue and margin growth goals and drive success
Build and sustain productive relationships with key decision-makers within retailers and developing action plans to strengthen customer relationships
Lead and execute annual sales planning, promotional planning and execution, and data-driven forecasting, to maximize sales opportunities
Manage and ensure forecast accuracy for current and new products and successfully execute new product launches
Monitor performance of strategic plans and evaluate successes, risks, and opportunities and formulate plans to improve key performance indicators
Maintain relationships with sales brokers to identify new business opportunities
Collaborate cross functionally to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies and communications, aligned with operational capabilities
Analyze and recommend appropriate pricing strategies, and lead the sales team in communicating pricing updates to customers
Ability to work through ambiguous situations, taking ownership of business results, gathering and analyzing information, developing alternative solutions, and working effectively across department to solve problems
Job Specifications
20+ years of proven success in building, training and developing a successful team of sales leaders in the food industry
Highly developed professional network and relationships within, deli and retail community including buyers and key decision-makers
Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments to develop and execute goals and customer strategies
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; set goals and objectives; and develops realistic action plans
Demonstrated professionalism, reacting well under pressure; maintains tactful approach; follows through on commitments
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is required, MBA is preferred.
Strong computer skills are required.
