Sign Language Interpreter (Creative Design)

Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter who will provide real-time interpretation services to ensure the full participation of deaf and hearing-impaired individuals in the iFAMS Deployment Teams activities under the FMBT Program. This role is essential to supporting inclusive communication in a complex project environment involving system deployment, stakeholder engagement, training, and collaborative planning. The interpreter must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), possess a thorough understanding of the subject matter being discussed, and be able to interpret with speed, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.

Position Responsibilities:
Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) in meetings, briefings, workshops, and training sessions related to iFAMS deployment.
Accurately interpret technical, operational, and procedural content specific to financial management systems, ERP implementation, and healthcare administration.
Ensure that deaf or hearing-impaired participants can fully understand and contribute to project planning, coordination, testing, training, and change management activities.
Prepare for interpreting assignments by reviewing relevant program documents, technical content, and briefings in advance.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct.
Provide interpretation services in both in-person and virtual environments using video relay or remote interpreting platforms.
Work collaboratively with program staff, trainers, system engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure smooth communication across all touchpoints.
Support production of accessible training materials, quick reference guides, and communication tools to ensure compliance with Section 508 standards.
