The Executive Director, Enterprise Applications & Agile Delivery for Ingram Micro's global digital technology will be a key member of the Chief Technology Officer's leadership team. This position is responsible for driving the strategic alignment of technical and business strategies, facilitating the preparation of one- and three-year plans, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic programs.

The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in connecting the dots across the organization, engaging business partners, and overseeing IT strategic planning activities.

Your role:

Leadership and Vision:

  • Set the strategic direction and vision for the agile delivery and program management organization, providing strong leadership to inspire and guide teams towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring the organization remains agile and responsive to market changes.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Lead long-term strategic planning efforts, identifying opportunities for growth, assessing risks, and making data-driven decisions to steer the organization towards its goals.
  • Ensure alignment of technical strategy with business strategy, driving and influencing platform, technical, and business strategies.

Corporate Apps and Ingram Micro Xvantage™ Delivery:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of corporate applications and the Ingram Micro Xvantage™ program, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Manage resources effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Strategic Budget Allocation:
  • Ensure the organization's budget is allocated to the right strategic initiatives, prioritizing projects that drive growth and innovation.
  • Work closely with department heads to optimize the use of financial resources and support the overall strategic vision.

Shift Left Strategy:

  • Lead the organization's process transformation, called the 'Shift Left' Strategy, to align Business, Product, Solutions, Engineering, and Data teams on PI planning, priorities, scope, and design.
  • Foster early collaboration among teams to identify and address potential issues early in the process, enhancing the organization's ability to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Technology Operational Oversight:
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the technology organization, ensuring efficient processes, managing resources effectively, and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Product, Data Engineering, and Business teams, serving as the primary representative of the Engineering organization in these interactions.

Agile Transformation:

  • Drive agile transformation initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Lead the development and operationalization of an Agile playbook for all types of product development and delivery.
  • Develop an Agile Community of Practice to customize Agile approaches, tools, and skills to the organization.
  • Implement agile delivery metrics and communicate these metrics to organization-wide stakeholders.
  • Ensure the successful iteration and launch of various offerings, focusing on individual developer happiness and success.
  • Results-Oriented:
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience affecting change through influence, in enterprise organizations.
  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader overseeing the delivery of technology solutions using agile methods and both onshore and offshore providers.
  • Using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, MS Office, JIRA Release Management Plugins.
  • Understanding technology solution delivery for large projects/programs through a complete agile development lifecycle (backlog prioritization, sprint planning, tracking burn-down/velocity, etc.).
  • Working with 100+ Scrum teams to deliver large scale B2B/B2C applications to our customers, vendors and associates.
  • Working proactively with other Scrum Masters to identify dependencies and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Shaping and delivering projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers, vendors and associates and our own quality criteria; and enabling Scrum teams to deliver its full potential by managing all Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments for the team, and work closely with Product Owner and Scrum team to groom sprint, release and product backlog.
  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:
  • Applying agile knowledge to identify, escalate, and remove team impediments that jeopardize sprint goals.
  • Teaching and coaching application development teams to adopt continuous delivery practices and other lean/agile modelling techniques.
  • Incorporating updates and changes to the integrated project plan and prepares reports and presentations for executive levels.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree in computer science or related field a plus.
  • Certification as a ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Product Owner (CSPO); Agile Coaching Certification or Agile Facilitation Certification Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years leading large, distributed teams, managing 15+ agile programs in a complex global organizational setting.
  • Strong understanding and application of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.).
  • Experience in strategic budget allocation for a global technology organization highly preferred.
  • Experience in operational oversight, including resource management, capacity planning, and process optimization for a technology organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with and presenting to all levels of an organization, including senior executive.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $200,900.00 - $361,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
