Senior Tax Analyst (Project Management)

Duties & Responsibilities:
Viavi Solutions Inc. is seeking an International Tax Senior Analyst reporting to the International Tax Senior Manager, to provide international tax operations, and accounting support for the business. The candidate will primarily support the Senior Managers in their tasks but will also be responsible for preparation of certain US compliance and provision workpapers.
- Assist with preparing the US international compliance. Prepare tax workpapers supporting US international tax returns 5471, 8858, 8865, 8621, 8991, and 8992 etc. Review of forms once drafted.
- Assist with the review of the provision for foreign entities under US GAAP ASC740.
- Prepare detailed provision supporting documentation and reconciliations.
- Team with finance function to investigate and document transactions in support of US compliance and the foreign provision.
- Provide tax operations and accounting support to cross-functional teams.
- Research tax issues for planning and compliance purposes.
- Assist in special ad hoc projects as necessary.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
- 2-4 years combined public accounting and/or corporate experience with emphasis on US international tax compliance and tax provision.
- Strong computer software skills, including MS excel, MS word.
- Experience with OneSource is a plus.
