Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Finance)



As a Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and executing advanced mechanical design projects. You will utilize your expertise in mechanical engineering to develop innovative solutions and drive the design process. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis and testing, and ensuring the successful implementation of designs.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Moca, PR location. After the first 90 days, you will be eligible to work on a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications, design and develop complex mechanical systems, and perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.

Honeywell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join our global team of thinkers, innovators, and doers. As such, you will be accountable for providing technical expertise and guidance on various projects and programs. You will work on designing and developing new ideas and solutions for new product development, as well as improving existing products based on market strategy and in-service issues. This role requires a strong background in mechanical design, electronics packaging and Cost Account Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute advanced mechanical design projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
  • Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
  • Provide technical expertise as a team lead or member on a variety of projects and programs
  • Utilize expert knowledge of engineering discipline and Honeywell standards, processes, and tools to ensure compliance and completion of projects
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Conduct analysis and testing to ensure design performance
  • Drive the successful implementation of designs

Travel, up to 10%, may be expected.
