Accountant - Housing (Administrative)



Three Rivers Community Action serves SE Minnesota with traditional non-profit programming and by building and owning multi-family housing. The fiscal team performs at a high level of excellence in fund accounting for programs including federal, state, and private grant sources.

The Accountant Housing is part of the fiscal team and provides expertise in multi-family housing with a specific focus on Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Duties include audits, tax filings, expenditures, depreciation, distributions, reserve deposits, and stakeholder reporting. The Senior Accountant Housing will also support the accounting operations of the programming side of the agency and will be expected to understand the guidelines for both programming and housing.

A successful Accountant Housing is a curious learner with the capacity to be flexible in working with two different accounting domains and excellent communication skills.(Full position description will be shared with applicants selected for in-person interviews; to request full description,call 507-316-0610.)

This full-time position will be based in Zumbrota. The starting pay range for this position is $62,400-74,880 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and proofing skillsAbility to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to pass required background study, as defined by positionMinimum B.A. or B.S. in Accounting and 5-7 years of experience of working in multiple areas of accounting or financial functionsUnderstanding of governmental, nonprofit and/or fund accountingDemonstrate intermediate knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook and accounting software (Sage Intacct knowledge is a bonus)
