Milk Mover (Full Time / Hourly) (Agriculture)
Finished Product Quality Assurance
All bottles are capped, labeled, completely full and dated
Communicate if items do not meet standard and resolve as directed
Production
Move product into dairy coolers promptly
Organize coolers so oldest dates are most accessible and label product with New Date signs accordingly
Communicate with Dairy Shift Leader if par stocks seem incorrect or there are inventory discrepancies
Submit Milk Mover Report at the completion of every production shift
Assist with Filler transitions
Assist with bottle and cap restock
Communicate issues with Dairy Shift Leader promptly
Wholesale
Process and Pack wholesale orders according to SOPs
Pack both the box truck and delivery van with orders for the day
Assist delivery driver in delivering orders
Complete basic deliveries solo in the delivery van or truck
Unload the truck at the end of a delivery shift
Cleaning and Food Safety
Assist in the completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning tasks
Clean following GMPs and SSOPs
Understanding of Dairy Food Safety
Washes hands when necessary

This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
Travel
There is no expected travel for this position.
Work Environment
This position operates in the dairy plant which is a loud and wet environment. Employees are required to wear non-skid rubber boots and noise-canceling two-way radio headsets. The employee must frequently lift or move objects that weigh more than 60 pounds and push and pull milk wagons on wheels weighing 200-700 pounds. This job also requires working in coolers and has contact with the following equipment: separator, homogenizer, HTST, bottle filler, blending tank, and pumps. Strong chemicals are used in the dairy to clean equipment.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours
This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule however flexibility is a must since work is determined by the needs of the business. Evening and weekend work may periodically be needed. The days before major holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas) may be required in the Dairy or other departments as the business needs.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
High school diploma, GED, or related experience preferred.
Previous experience in food processing is preferred but not required.
Food Safety Certification is preferred but not required.
Previous experience operating a filling line is preferred but not required.
