Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist (Project Management)
The goal of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist is to increase the impact of American Freight's inclusive
excellence commitment, leading to wider understanding and greater success for all associates.
Serving as a catalyst to integrate diversity, equity, inclusion and educational equality into the
institutional mission and operation; managing ongoing and complex caseload of Title VII related
incidents and complaints; providing or facilitating ongoing training, consultation, and technical
assistance on Title VII for all associates.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Coordinating the Company's compliance with Title VII, and other related discrimination laws
• Serving as the Company's primary administrator for cases alleging misconduct, specifically,
sexual misconduct, gender-based discrimination, harassment, intimate partner violence, and
stalking for all associates. Overseeing the team's response to all allegations.
• Conducting prompt and impartial investigations in accordance with Title VII and American
Freight policies and practices
• Setting forth remedies, including supporting measures; continuously monitoring and
advising American Freight Senior Leadership to address sexual misconduct and ensure
ongoing compliance with Title VII
• Collaborating with the American Freight Training Team regarding overlapping obligations
including prevention, education, and training
• Remain current of developments in Title VII, applicable laws, and best practices
• Recommending changes to the American Freight policies and practices by reviewing best
practices from research
• Perform administrative support functions as needed to support the Title VII efforts of the
organization
Qualifications:
• Experience working with all levels to address issues of equity, opportunity, and diversity
• Experience leading teams of dedicated professionals
• Strong communication, written and interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated commitment to preventing sexual misconduct
Preferred Skills:
• Relevant Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Excellent relationship building, communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
• Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
