Specialist, Oversight and Payment Scheme Consultant (Finance)
The Oversight and Payments Scheme function is responsible for an end-to-end managing compliance requirement with multiple regions where Northern are direct participants and providing Control oversight to Banking and Treasury Services
Roles:
•Responsible for serving as the Lead on the largest/most complex projects/Initiatives •Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities •Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues •Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity •Being flexible and work proactively as part of a global adhesive team •Facilitate Resiliency Control Processes for the practice •Ability to undertake & monitor Lessons Learnt and lead Root Cause Analysis. •Review ASLs, Compliance misses and Near Misses issue for the practice with the ability to coordinate with different stakeholders for preventive action •Provides project and business management governance to Practice initiatives •Ability to provide Consultancy & Assurance services for the practise in terms of Risk and Control initiatives •Support team partners by Guiding, Coaching and Create awareness to drive promotion of stronger control environment and positive •Responsible for vendor management and compliance around them •Monitors and maintains RCSA plans for practice with no deviation from agreed procedures and processes. •Ensure appropriate oversight / governance of arrangements is in place. Facilitating governance forums as required. •Act in capacity of facilitator for all audits and regulatory examinations where applicable. •Ability to manage and work with various MI and data sets; ensuring timely completion of MI and other ad-hoc reports as required. •Regulatory & Payment Scheme Change Mgmt. for different regions (CHAPS/RITS/SEPA & Fed) •Ability to interpret rules and embed within Operations, technology and different stake holders •Responsible to Attestation Mgmt. & Oversight for different regions (CHAPS/RITS/SEPA & Fed) •Adherence to Risk & Control policies/requirements & Payment Scheme rule •Ability to represent practice in Governance Forums •Able to understand the resiliency requirement and work on implementation for different regions for being compliant •Build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders including Control, Resiliency Office, Regulatory Oversight, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Audit, •Ensure amended and new scheme rules & regulations are implemented into our processes and procedures in a timely manner. •Responsible to work with the resiliency office and maintain Fusion for the practise to meet the corporate requirements •Ability to understand different regions Regulatory Reporting Framework Mgmt. and able to support them directly or coordinating with different operations team Ability to understand the payment scheme obligations for different jurisdictions and work on implementation for being compliant
Knowledge/Skills
•Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise
•Operations/audit/control/risk partner with knowledge of the relevant business practice including its strategic goals, associated products and supporting operational functions.
•Knowledge of Cash & Payment regulations, regulatory transaction reporting and industry best practices
•Broad Knowledge of global Payment Scheme obligations (CHAPS/RITS/SEPA and Fed etc) would be advantageous
•Knowledge of risk management techniques and proven ability to identify and assess risk in business processes, migration activity and new products.
•Negotiation and analytical skills are necessary to consult with partners/clients throughout the organization as well as regulators and auditors.
•Effective project management skills are essential to help drive various initiatives and manage multiple priorities .
•Ability to sell the value-added benefit of the oversight function.
•Excellent attention to detail and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Strong communication both written and oral with the ability to synthesize information into concise and structured output
