Director of Population Health Operations (Security)
The Director of Operations for Population Health is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of value-based contracts with governmental and private payers and organizing the resources to effectively perform within those arrangements. The director helps to assess the feasibility of additional value-based contracts and guides the resources and processes to support success in new contracts.
Along with a primary responsibility for performance in value contracts, the director of operations is a member of the population health leadership team, which employs specific tactics for success in population health work. Some of the role responsibilities below detail the specific places of participation for the director of operations in the collaborative work of the population health division.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
A strong understanding of and work experience in supporting value-based contracting arrangements This might include work experience in the healthcare insurance industry
At least 4 years of experience in a healthcare operations role that included working with physicians and clinical teams
Proven experience in collaboration, particularly working with diverse teams to build trust and succeed in quality and performance improvement efforts
Proven business acumen and analytical skills, including an understanding of claims and clinical data management and analysis
Experience in healthcare performance improvement methodologies is preferred.
