Sr Advanced Systems Engr (Finance)



As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Flight Systems, Honeywell, you will be a technical guide and systems engineering expert, contributing to the strategic vision and execution of critical development projects. In this role, you will impact the development of systems/software solutions for the Flight Systems development team, contributing to the success of our products and solutions. You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Deer Valley location in Phoenix, Arizona on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance, ultimately contributing to safer and more efficient air travel.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with avionics and other aircraft systems
  • Familiarity with requirements development/analysis and allocation to hardware and software
  • Ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively

WE VALUE
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C, DO-254, ARP4754.
  • Strong proficiency in automated testing tools such as SSL and TATS.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management with little supervision
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows based tool development environments.
  • Experience with hardware simulation, Systems on a Chip (SOC) and Real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Effectively able to work in a teaming environment with members located in many Aerospace locations across the globe.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assume a variety of systems engineering and support roles.
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to adapt with project changes as needed

  • Expert in systems engineering effort for the design, development, integration and testing of Air Data software and systems efforts.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills in Air Data systems development.
  • Support any other activities related to meeting program milestones.
