The UHV Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences is hiring for a tenure track assistant professor to join the faculty. We are starting an exciting new chapter in the university's history by joining the Texas A&M System September 1st. The department of over 300 majors offers graduate degrees in counseling, forensic, and school psychology, as well and undergraduate degrees.

Candidates must hold a PhD or PsyD. (or ABD) Licensure would be appreciated but is not required. Academic specialty is open, but preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach in one of the following areas: counseling, forensic, or school psychology. The campus is in Victoria Texas, a city with a strong sense of community, diverse economy, relatively low cost of living, and easy access to nature. Located 30 miles inland from the Gulf, nestled beside the meandering Guadalupe River, in South central Texas, it is known as the "Crossroads of South Texas" because three major highways intersect here connecting 4 major cities within a 2-hour drive: Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, and San Antonio.
