Senior Consultant, Retirement (Information Technology)

The Opportunity: The individual will step into a multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on the continued growth of the consulting business, with a focus in the multiemployer market. The Senior Consultant will be a key contributor in the Region with responsibilities with clients.

The Role: The Senior Consultant will support Senior Vice Presidents on an existing book of client business and collaborate to grow revenue and maximize the profitability, as well as attract new client accounts. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Planning, designing, staffing, and managing large-scope client projects; developing implementation strategies and coordinating and monitoring effective project execution and service delivery.

  • Managing and maintaining clients and client relationships. 
  • Leading and/or participating in business development efforts for new and existing clients that includes cross-selling services to achieve or exceed assigned revenue goals.
  • Using strategic and tactical skills to identify client needs and formulate integrated and appropriate solutions.
  • Contributing to practice development through thought leadership (e.g., identifying or developing best practice approaches), publication and public speaking.
  • Mentoring and developing staff resources and, as emulating leadership behavior.
  • Promoting and contributing to a work culture that is diverse and inclusive.

Key Requirements: The qualified candidate must have:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant consulting experience allowing for immediate transition into the role described.         
  • Expertise in employee benefits (e.g., health & welfare and retirement). 
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading and/or supporting business development and revenue growth initiatives in the multiemployer marketplace to include accountability for meeting/exceeding assigned revenue goals. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with client organizations. 
  • Excellent communication (oral/written) skills with a proven ability to positively influence diverse audiences through use of intellect, superior analytical skill, and ability to develop complex business solutions. 
  • Leadership skills as evidenced by a favorable impact on practice development, staff development, marketplace development and business profitability growth.

The current salary range for this position is $124,500 to $165,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance. In addition, Segal offers a comprehensive suite of benefits to include a non-contributory defined benefit pension plan, matching and discretionary contributions to a 401(k) profit sharing plan, medical and prescription benefits including contributions to a health savings account for eligible employees, dental benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, wellness benefit reimbursements and rewards, and professional credential and tuition reimbursement. Segal also provides comprehensive paid time off including holidays, vacation days, sick leave, paid family leave and sabbaticals.
