Confirm die called out on order is in inventory (reorder if previously).
Start order process for new dies.
Confirm production order has a press mylar (print if missing).
Ordering of Dies and Blankets: Receive die requisitions from Customer Service for review/request corrections.
Send die vendors files for die production.
Request quotes for new dies and reorder dies and/or components.
Enter all reorder quotes into SAP.
Send all quotes & due dates to the purchasing dept.
Send the requisitions numbers on the reorders to the purchasing dept.
Follow up with die vendors on dies and or components that are not delivered on their due dates and negotiate new due dates.
Set up die layouts for art automation.
Manage the die database inventory (record components orders and received. Remove the dumped dies and move to dumped spread sheet)
Save die stripping files from die vendor in die database by adding spot makeready and provide die cutting with the mylar
Maintain die orders in rack where production can access to confirm order information Blankets
Check press schedules for blankets in our inventory.
Create cut files for new blankets (each press uses a different blanket/no sharing).
Cut new blankets on a Kongsberg Cutting table.
Make up folders for new blankets.
Manage the blanket inventory for recuts and blanket dumps.
Cut the recut blankets that are worn or damaged on press.
Print mylars for the pressroom with the no coat and bleed information for makeready.
Print mylars for the die cutters with the stripping info for makeready based on orders coming in and replacement list given to cad from the die cutting department.
Save die pdfs showing stripping in the layouts folder for production floor's access to print.
Produce structure samples for production runs as requested by Customer Service Representatives.
Print labels for structure samples including customer, structure number and stock
Key Responsibilities
Creating and Modifying CAD Drawings for Production
Generating and updating production layouts for products, components, or manufacturing processes.
Collaboration: Working closely with CAD Designers, Customer Service and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure design accuracy.
Design Reviews: Conducting reviews of production Layouts to identify potential issues and ensure they meet production standards.
Technical Documentation: Preparing and maintaining technical documents, including design reports, user manuals, and specifications.
Production Support: Providing technical support to production teams and answering their design-related questions.
Software Proficiency: Demonstrating strong skills in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook. Kongsberg's I-Cut Software also a plus.
Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to design processes and workflow
Proficiency in CAD software: A high level of expertise in software like AutoCAD.
Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, analyze designs, and identify potential problems.
Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all technical drawings.
Communication skills: Effectively communicating technical information to colleagues and clients.

Education Background
Associate's Degree: A two-year associate's degree in drafting or a related field can provide a strong foundation in design, drawing, and CAD software.
