FSQA Data & Systems Manager (Finance)

The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.

Position Summary:

This role represents FSQA on the OSI continued path to paperless by analyzing requirements, creating, and maintaining system components, defining data governance systems and linking FSQA programs and policies in the Safety Chain, EnviroMap and similar platforms. This position is responsible for coordinating analysis of data from multiple FSQA systems, management of customer complaints, assessing compliance to OSI and customer Food Safety and Quality System requirements.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead analysis of large and complex data sets using statistical methods from internal and external sources to enhance decision making and shape strategy.

• Design and deliver training programs to equip FSQA teams with the skills necessary for interpreting data and making data-driven decisions, ensuring real-time data is effectively utilized to improve quality and safety across all facilities

• Validate and troubleshoot data inconsistencies found in food safety reports aligned with OSI policies. Strive for data integrity and perform data cleanup activities.

• Lead dashboard creation and maintain food safety and quality focused dashboards for each OSI facility.

• Provide the technical team with the results of statistical analyses in the form of an effective data visualization such as graphs, charts, and tables for further review and evaluation

Maintain corporate plant linkage to regulatory and customer databases

• Represents FSQA on OSI's continued path to paperless by analyzing requirements, creating, and maintaining system components, defining data governance systems, and linking FSQA programs and policies in the Safety Chain, EnviroMap and similar platforms.

• Manage customer complaints for OSI North America including complaint entry, communication to plants and reconciliation

• Work with facilities in developing templates, charts to record data that are easily transferred to easy-to-read reports

• Documentation of the Mock Recall process and maintenance of the program

• Work directly with plant FSQA to determine automation required to make critical work and document management accurate and sustainable

• Maintain and track adherence to corporate required FSQA KPIs and Safety Chain forms

• Assist in development of plant level FSQA Safety Chain forms

• Maintain task scheduler for Corporate managed tasks

• Corporate Enviromap data management: set up of new users, visual inspections from Safety Chain to Enviromap, Upload of pre-op data to PowerBi

• Perform regular audits of Safety Chain, Enviromap and OSI systems to ensure compliance with OSI standards and customer specifications.

• Utilize SAP to reconcile plant reported FSQA holds.

• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Experience & Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of practical experience in corporate or plant food safety and quality or relevant discipline within the food industry.

• Knowledge of Food Safety management, HACCP/Food Safety Plan management, GMPs, Hygiene practices, Sanitation, Environmental Monitoring, and GFSI certification schemes (BRC).

• Strong experience needed in developing automated Quality Management systems

• Experience in manufacturing products in a FDA/USDA environment.

• Ability to travel as needed.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, and Outlook to communicate internally and externally

• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and adhere to strict standards regarding product.

Preferred Education:

• BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or related technical degree.

Work Environment:

• Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).

• Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.

• Work conditions are typical of an office environment.

• This role requires 30% domestic travel.

• Work can be performed in both office and manufacturing environments.

• Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
